Postal Reform - Is this consultation?

There have now been several meetings about so called “reform” in Australia Post. One meeting included Branch Secretaries and CPSU. Mr Fahour addressed the joint meeting but was unavailable for questions. The Victorian P&T Branch Secretary Joan Doyle was not admitted to the building – at the direction of CEO Mr Fahour. The bulk of the meeting was dominated by one Branch Secretary who interrupted and ensured that few questions could be asked.

Somehow some Branch Secretaries believed that they got a gold plated promise that there would be no forced redundancies directly related to reform (whatever that means). Mr Fahour spoke of a commitment by unions but this was not explored either as there was no time left.
